Financial Data Analyst Intern | Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP
The Tone:
This is a year-round, part-time internship at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, located in New York, NY. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers, operating across 16 offices in six countries. This role offers valuable hands-on experience by supporting the Finance & Accounting Team in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data. What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entry Preparation: Assist with compiling financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Foreign Operations Support: Provide assistance with accounting for foreign operations.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
• Fixed Asset Management: Assist with the accounting for fixed assets.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting & Projects: Utilize reporting tools like Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports for ad-hoc reports and special projects as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing an accounting or finance degree with a strong academic record.
• Experience: Must be entering Junior or Senior year.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Microsoft applications. Possess a detail-oriented mindset, critical thinking abilities, and strong analytic skills. Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Ability to work effectively as an individual or within groups, and be a self-starter and team player. Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask are also valued. Candidates should be willing to commit at least four days in office for a yearlong internship.
