The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time or Full-time, Winter semester (early-January through April 15th)
• Location: In-person Boston, MA
• Pay: $30 hourly
• Team: Audit/Tax teams, reporting to senior staff and management
• Mission: Gain real-world public accounting experience by contributing to client engagements in audit or tax.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on various financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Data Analysis: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help draft management letter comments and contribute to the audit report.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility and maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0. Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are required for this internship role.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, and close attention to detail.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite, a problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, ability to work under pressure and against deadlines, and reliable transportation to and from your assigned office with the ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
