Corporate Accounting Intern | Greystar
The Tone:
This is a full-time, temporary internship at Greystar, designed for students interested in corporate accounting. Greystar is a leading global real estate platform, managing and operating over $350 billion in institutional-quality rental housing across a fully integrated model including property management, investment, development, and construction services. This 10-week program provides interns with substantial, hands-on experience in core corporate accounting functions, allowing them to contribute to essential financial operations and gain deep insights into the broader real estate business. Interns will engage in real projects and responsibilities, fostering practical skills and professional connections within a world-class service provider.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and Process: Prepare journal entries, review financial statements, and approve invoices, while gaining experience within a leading ERP system.
• Learn and Understand: Develop an understanding of the corporate accounting line of business, team responsibilities, and its broader function within the real estate business.
• Support and Analyze: Work closely with senior team members to complete various financial, administrative, and analytical reports as assigned.
• Contribute to Projects: Support special projects requiring collaboration and partnership with other Greystar teams to achieve departmental goals.
• Document and Research: Create documentation for processes, procedures, and program results, and conduct research to assess conceptual ideas within the department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-level internship is suitable for candidates with a strong quantitative background that demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience: Ideal candidates are graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Skills: Required skills include working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex topics clearly and concisely. A high standard of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to adhere to deadlines are also essential.
