2027 Rotational Program – Environmental Commodities Sales & Trading | STX Group

The Tone:
This is a one-year rotational program at STX Group, designed for those interested in renewable energy and financial services. STX Group is comprised of 450+ professionals from 50+ nationalities, focused on making profit with a purpose through trading environmental commodities and creating effective decarbonization strategies for clients. This program offers first-hand experience across multiple departments, providing a comprehensive understanding of the business and contributing to changing the world one trade at a time. The program is intended to provide successful participants with a full-time desk placement at the end of the program.

• Mission: To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of STX Group’s business through rotational experience in environmental commodities sales and trading.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Build an understanding of the full-cycle trading process from inception to execution by rotating on at least one Product Team, Client Strategy Team, or Operational Support Team.
• Market Analysis: Support the different desks with integral research and analytics, staying up to date on macroeconomic events and market trends to influence decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Apply new perspectives to help streamline internal processes by creating workflow automations and organizing datasets.
• Client Engagement: Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, communications, and RFPs for prospective clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Undergraduate or Masters’ students with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027, demonstrating a keen interest in sustainable energy and/or environmental commodities.
• Experience: Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, coupled with an analytical ability to synthesize data, reports, and other information into a presentable format.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal, a GPA of 3.3 or above, and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and critical thinking skills.
• Bonus: Pursuing a degree in Finance, Technology, Business, Environmental Sciences or another related field, and experience with SQL and VBA.
