Activate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the journey from scientific discovery to real-world impact. Since 2015, we have forged a robust cross-sector ecosystem, collaborating with government, philanthropy, universities, and industry to drive hard tech innovation. Our mission is to empower pioneering scientists and engineers with world-class resources, training, and a supportive community, guiding their groundbreaking work from initial concept to successful deployment.

Through our flagship fellowship, Activate has championed nearly 350 fellows across the United States, who have collectively launched over 275 companies and secured more than $5.5 billion in follow-on funding. We are now expanding our programs to support scientists and engineers at various stages of their entrepreneurial journey, broadening our global reach and multiplying pathways to commercialization.
