What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Credit Review Examinations: Execute and deliver risk-based credit review engagements across diverse banking sectors, evaluating credit risk management practices, borrower risk ratings, and compliance with standards.
• Plan and Deliver Credit Reviews: Maintain the credit review risk universe, manage examination engagements with appropriate coverage, and produce executive-level reports with clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.
• Provide Credit Review Leadership: Act as Examiner-in-Charge, lead examination teams, provide coaching and guidance, and ensure examinations are completed on time and within established quality metrics.
• Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders and credit executives, provide independent challenge and guidance, and influence enhancements to credit risk frameworks.
• Drive Continuous Monitoring & Improvement: Identify emerging risks through ongoing portfolio monitoring, utilize data analytics and technology to improve examination effectiveness, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 5+ years in corporate credit risk management within the financial services industry or regulatory environment.
• Experience: Experience leading credit review, audit, examination, or risk assessment engagements; strong understanding of corporate credit risk management and lending practices.
• Skills: Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication, including executive report writing; ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
• Bonus: Experience with data analytics, AI tools, or technology-driven process improvements; continuous monitoring experience; knowledge of project finance, energy finance, asset-based lending, and commercial banking portfolios; understanding of credit governance frameworks and regulatory expectations.
