What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Management: Create and maintain comprehensive records of client financial transactions using Intacct, Yardi, and QuickBooks.
• Daily Operations: Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities, including managing accounts receivable and payable cycles, with additional duties evolving over time.
• Financial Reporting: Compile detailed financial reports for client management, covering cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and other key operational items.
• Transaction Verification: Verify contracts, purchase orders, and vouchers, and prepare supporting reports for individual transactions prior to their settlement.
• Account Analysis: Reconcile and balance accounts, applying accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate financial reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Experience: Practical experience in daily accounting/bookkeeping activities, including A/R and A/P cycles, and assisting with payroll entry.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; analytical thinking to respond to complex inquiries; understanding and application of GAAP theories and procedures; ability to identify and resolve financial and payroll issues; strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bonus: Yardi accounting software experience is preferred; enjoyment of complex and challenging project work; high motivation with a focus on personal and professional growth; ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
