Staff Accountant | D&W Fine Pack
The Tone:
This is a full-time, early-career accounting role at D&W Fine Pack, a company that makes packaging. The position is initially located onsite at our Wood Dale, Illinois, facility, with potential for a hybrid remote work arrangement up to three days per week after successful training. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or developing accountant to gain broad exposure to financial reporting, capital accounting, budgeting, and audit support within a corporate team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in analyzing financial information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting critical financial processes across the organization, working closely with finance leadership and plant controllers.

• Mission: Supports financial reporting, capital accounting, budgeting, and audit processes by analyzing financial information and maintaining accurate records.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accounting records by processing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Capital Tracking: Support capital tracking, analysis, and reporting, including monitoring compliance with corporate capital policies and serving as a liaison to other departments.
• Variance Analysis: Review monthly financial reports for unusual variances or outliers and conduct research to determine whether adjustments are required.
• Audit & Valuation Support: Support audit, bank examination, and asset valuation processes by communicating deliverables to internal stakeholders and ensuring timely submission of complete information.
• Budgeting: Assist with developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets for corporate departments and prepare related monthly reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance field.
• Experience: 0-3 years of Accounting experience; relevant accounting internship experience preferred.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification.
