2027 Assurance Winter Intern | EisnerAmper

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at EisnerAmper, located in La Jolla, CA. EisnerAmper is one of the largest accounting, tax, and business advisory firms, with nearly 4,500 employees and more than 450 partners across the world. In this role, you will contribute to performing detailed verification procedures essential for examining clients’ financial statements, fostering trust, and providing peace of mind through professional integrity. You will be part of a team dedicated to transforming auditing by building lasting client partnerships based on solutions.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (24 hours over 3 business days)
• Location: Hybrid La Jolla, CA

• Team: Works with the Assurance team
• Mission: Perform detailed verification procedures necessary to perform examinations of clients’ financial statements.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, MS Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Verification: Perform detailed verification procedures for clients’ financial statements.
• Examinations: Conduct examinations of both public and private client financial statements.
• Collaboration: Work with the assurance team to achieve professional integrity and consistent results.
• Solutions: Contribute to creating lasting partnerships with clients by identifying and providing solutions.
• Due Diligence: Support the team in adopting new technologies and continued education for accurate and timely due diligence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting, or an equivalent program from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: 0-2 years of recent public accounting experience; ability to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week in-person at the assigned office.
• Skills: Strong MS Excel and MS Word proficiency, strong time management and organizational skills, great communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Bonus: Pursuing minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state of the assigned office location; pursuing 150 academic credits or a master’s degree in accounting; final graduation date of December 2027 – September 2028; strong academic track record (Minimum GPA: 3.0); strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with a team.
