What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Data Integrity: Assure the integrity of 340B-related financial and statistical data by meticulously preparing or reviewing general ledger entries, reports, schedules, worksheets, and reconciliations.
• Provide Strategic Analysis: Develop unique management financial information with significant institutional impact using advanced reporting tools, proactively identifying opportunities to increase financial margins while preserving Mayo standards and minimizing risks.
• Develop Financial Tools: Create, implement, and maintain programs and variable-sensitive business models for financial reporting, fiscal compliance, and management, interpreting and implementing relevant accounting rules and policies.
• Provide Expertise & Leadership: Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in finance, accounting, or compliance, providing advanced analytical and support functions to department and institutional leadership, and mentoring junior staff.
• Lead Projects: Actively participate in decision-making and lead or facilitate multi-disciplinary workgroups and projects, communicating and presenting information effectively to various audiences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, or another business-related field. This is a senior-level role, the third in a series of four finance analyst positions, requiring significant domain expertise.
• Experience: Minimum of six years of applicable accounting or finance experience with an Accounting or Finance degree, or nine years with another business-related bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree in accounting or finance, an MBA, MHA, CPA (active or inactive), CMA, or CIA can substitute for one year of experience.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting and finance practices; advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills; advanced investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and presentation skills; advanced knowledge of large accounting or grant management systems.
• Bonus: Prior 340B, pharmacy, or finance analyst experience; prior experience working with Epic and 340B TPAs; Apexus 340B ACE certification (required within 12 months of hire); or a professional designation such as CPA (active or inactive) or CMA.
