The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C., performed in an office environment. The firm is a certified public accounting organization dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including privately held businesses, non-profits, governmental entities, and individuals. In this role, you will provide essential accounting, auditing, and tax services, supporting clients and firm management. Your work directly contributes to meeting client needs and maintaining financial integrity within established guidelines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct Audit Fieldwork: Execute fieldwork procedures for accounting and auditing engagements, including client inquiry, analytics, and testing.
• Prepare Financial Statements: Compile and finalize financial statements for various clients.
• File Tax Returns: Complete federal and state income tax returns for corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, trusts, estates, and non-profit entities.
• Perform Basic Accounting: Manage bookkeeping and reconciliation functions for clients.
• Support Firm Initiatives: Participate in firm-directed training, networking, and internal projects such as committees and working groups.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. Candidates should have 150 relevant credit hours, be on the CPA career track, and possess basic knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Experience: Entry-level experience with efficient knowledge of Excel. Client contact is required, necessitating effective communication with client employees and management.
• Skills: Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills; highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; critical integrity for handling confidential information; and a desire to learn.
• Bonus: Master of Science in Taxation (MST), Master of Science in Accounting (MSA), or other industry-related graduate degree is preferred. Significant effort towards obtaining a CPA certificate is expected outside of normal job responsibilities.
