This position is crucial for managing full-cycle accounting and building trusted advisory relationships, directly supporting clients’ financial health and operational optimization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Accounting: Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of small business clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial statements with clear, plain-English commentary for clients.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted advisor relationships throughout the year.
• Advisory Services: Provide advisory support on cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking tailored to each client’s business.
• System Optimization: Identify process improvements and help clients clean up or optimize their accounting systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally across multiple clients (public accounting, outsourced accounting, or client accounting services background preferred), with proven experience managing books from transaction level through financial statement delivery.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; excellent verbal and written communication skills with comfort explaining financial concepts to non-accountants; ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Bonus: CPA or actively pursuing CPA; 1+ year of remote work experience; experience working with service-based business clients.
