Relationship Manager | Mashreq

This is a full-time role at Mashreq, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Relationship Manager, you will operate at the forefront of MashreqBank’s Real Estate Banking Division, playing a pivotal role in cultivating and expanding relationships with key stakeholders across the real estate industry. Your primary focus will be on deeply understanding client needs and delivering customized banking solutions designed to support their unique growth trajectories and financing objectives. This position is central to Mashreq’s strategy to provide comprehensive financial partnership to leading real estate developers, investors, and family offices in the region.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Portfolio Management: Develop and proactively manage a diverse and strategically important portfolio of corporate and real estate clients, encompassing developers, investment firms, and influential family offices, fostering long-term relationships.
• Business Development & Growth: Originate new business opportunities by strategically identifying potential clients and actively growing the wallet share with existing relationships through a client-centric approach.
• Tailored Banking Solutions: Structure and execute comprehensive lending solutions, efficient cash management services, and sophisticated investment banking products precisely tailored to clients’ strategic goals and financing objectives.
• Rigorous Financial & Credit Assessment: Perform in-depth financial analysis, conduct thorough credit assessments, and execute complex transaction structuring to ensure sound decision-making and compliance.
• Integrated Collaboration & Strategic Advisory: Collaborate closely with product specialists, credit risk teams, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated banking solutions, while continuously monitoring client performance, industry trends, and market dynamics to provide valuable strategic insights and advisory.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Candidates should possess a strong foundational understanding of corporate banking, investment banking, or commercial banking principles, with particular relevance to the real estate sector.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience within Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, or Commercial Banking is essential. This includes a proven track record in developing and managing robust client relationships, coupled with a demonstrated focus on business development and expanding client portfolios.
• Skills: Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills are critical, along with the ability to structure and execute complex banking transactions. Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills are required, fostering a client-centric mindset. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and comprehensive risk management practices within the banking industry is also key.
• Bonus: Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CA, CPA, or an MBA are considered highly advantageous. Proficiency in utilizing financial analysis tools and software, including Bloomberg and Excel, as well as other industry-specific applications, is also a significant plus.
