Sr Operations Analyst – Clearing Reconciliation | BNP Paribas

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BNP Paribas, located in São Paulo, Brazil. • Mission: Own daily reconciliations, enhance operational efficiency, and safeguard the bank against operational risk through robust controls and technical solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Execute daily reconciliations of equity, fixed-income, and derivatives instruments against the clearing position.
• Cash Management: Perform daily cash reconciliation against the clearing position.
• Business Support: Support business development across Global Markets, Global Banking, and Securities Services in defining and building new reconciliations and controls.
• Solution Design: Design and implement technical solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing operational risk.
• Risk Safeguarding: Assist the local Head of the Control Tower in safeguarding the bank on Operational Risk matters and collaborate with the OPC and local Risk team to define, implement, and enhance local controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completed higher-education degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) with experience in operations or middle-office functions.
• Experience: Experience with operational controls and reconciliations is a differentiator.
• Skills: Advanced Python and VBA skills; knowledge of product families including derivatives, equities, and fixed income.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools; a collaborative mindset with a focus on transformation.
