What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Data Reconciliation: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help to draft management letter comments and the audit report for review.
• Client Meetings: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility and maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0, with satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework expected.
• Experience: This entry-level role requires solid technical accounting knowledge and the ability to apply it to client engagements.
• Skills: Effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, problem-solving attitude, and close attention to detail are all essential.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills are preferred, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
