The Tone:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, day shift Managerial Trainee role located in Clinton, WI, at an Agronomy, Grain Elevator & Seed Location. The DeLong Co., Inc. is a company operating in the grain trading industry, handling various agricultural commodities. This position is vital for developing future leaders by immersing them in every aspect of the Grain Division, ensuring they gain comprehensive skills. The role’s purpose is to cultivate highly driven individuals to become successful grain trading professionals within the company, with a placement goal where there is the most opportunity or need.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn: Gain comprehensive understanding of various Grain Division disciplines including accounting, merchandising, risk management, and export sales.
• Oversee: Engage with outside operations and master logistics across rail, container, barge, and truck transport.
• Grade: Develop expertise in grain grading for various commodities, including organic and specialty grains.
• Trade: Actively manage own physical grain trading positions within the division.
• Support: Complete assigned projects and assist co-workers as needed across departments.

• Experience: No specific prior experience is required for this training role.
• Skills: Strong communication, organized, and driven.
• Bonus: Prior grain or farming experience; currently achieved or working towards a College Degree, preferably in Finance or Ag Business.
