This is an audit internship at Forvis Mazars, located in Atlanta. You will work on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and applying your technical accounting knowledge. What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Perform audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Client Collaboration: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Assistance: Assist in drafting management letter comments and the comprehensive audit report.
• Client Meetings: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers, gaining insight into professional interactions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Working towards CPA Exam eligibility, with satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework expected. Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: Entry-level position offering exposure to various industries; prior professional experience is not a prerequisite.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well within a team as well as independently, a problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, close attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines. Reliable transportation is required to and from the assigned office, including for off-site meetings and events.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills preferred, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
