Manager Trainee | Builders FirstSource

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn: Shadow employees and management to learn and perform assigned duties, becoming familiar with company processes and procedures across various functions.
• Train: Receive comprehensive training and perform duties across all operational areas, including yard operations, millwork, production, dispatch, scheduling, delivery, safety, sales, finance, and human resources.
• Plan: Participate in developing operating budgets and capital expenditure recommendations to support the achievement of operational and financial goals.
• Develop: Actively engage in and complete all assigned training programs as part of career development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is an entry-level operations management position, and comprehensive company training will be provided.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required as this is an entry-level development role.
• Skills: Strong customer service skills for both face-to-face and telephone interactions, good mathematical aptitude, clear verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills including tact and influencing, and good computer aptitude, particularly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP applications.
• Bonus: Previous selling experience is helpful.
