Intern/Trainee (Praktikant) | RÖDL USA
The Tone:
This is an internship at RÖDL USA, a professional services firm with multiple locations across the United States. RÖDL USA provides accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting services, primarily to US subsidiaries of foreign-owned, German-speaking, and European family businesses. This role is crucial for supporting these international clients by contributing to accounting, auditing, and tax projects, offering interns valuable practical experience within a truly global environment.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary, 6-month commitment
• Location: In-person, multiple US offices (Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Denver, Greenville, Houston, Manhattan, Philadelphia)
• Pay: $20–$32 hourly (for Chicago, Denver, and Manhattan metropolitan areas)
• Team: Collaborative within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team
• Mission: Gain practical experience in international accounting, auditing, and tax, supporting German-speaking and European clients in the US.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit & Tax Consulting: Collect practical experiences in all areas of US and German auditing and tax consulting.
• Professional Development: Receive training in various areas including ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel, bank reconciliation preparation, cash audits, and tax estimations.
• Project Support: Support accounting, auditing, and tax projects for US subsidiaries of foreign-owned businesses.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team on challenging international assignments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing at least three semesters of economics studies with a focus on international accounting, auditing, and/or taxes.
• Experience: Possess initial theoretical and/or practical experience in accounting and/or taxes, with a commitment to a 6-month internship.
• Skills: Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, coupled with strong analytical abilities and self-initiative.
• Bonus: Prior internships abroad and other additional professional qualifications are advantageous.
