Technical Program Manager – Trainee | Iron Systems, Inc

The Tone:
This is a full-time, paid W-2 employee trainee position at Service Global, located across nationwide deployment sites, including current projects in Ohio and Virginia. Service Global delivers essential data center and technology infrastructure services, encompassing low-voltage cabling, fiber, network deployment, quality management, documentation, and project delivery. This role is crucial for developing employees to effectively support and coordinate increasingly complex data center infrastructure projects, building foundational skills in a structured program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain project documentation, including trackers, schedules, action items, and issue logs.
• Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Track project metrics such as schedule, SLA compliance, risk items, and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare comprehensive project status reports and support customer-facing communication.
• Participate in data center walkthroughs, project-site activities, and support project closeout procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Relevant education, technical training, professional experience, or transferable experience related to technology, infrastructure, engineering, data, or project management.
• Experience: Exposure to technology, infrastructure, or project management concepts.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with spreadsheets and learn project management and documentation tools; ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with data center, low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber, copper, or network infrastructure; prior project coordination or project-management experience; experience with QA/QC, testing, commissioning, or project closeout activities; relevant technical or project-management certifications.
