Tax / Audit Intern – Winter 2028 – Milwaukee, WI | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen), located in Milwaukee, WI. • Mission: To support client engagements by preparing tax returns and performing assurance services, while gaining practical experience in accounting procedures and systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Assurance Services: Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Client Engagement Support: Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
• Professional Development: Expand industry knowledge through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Working towards the achievement of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with general knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Experience: Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to client sites.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products; achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements; willingness to learn new technologies.
• Bonus: Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
