Entry Level Staff Accountant | Career Group

This role is integral to the fund accounting side of the business, requiring close interaction with the family office team. • Team: Sits on the fund accounting side of the business and interfaces closely with the family office team.
• Mission: This person will be responsible for supporting the core fund accounting operations, including cash management, investment tracking, and assisting with financial close and reporting processes for the family office team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Management: Monitor and review cash accounts to ensure accuracy and timely reconciliation.
• Investment Tracking: Track operating expenses, monitor investment activity, and maintain accurate investment records.
• Fund Operations Support: Assist with capital calls, monitor funds, and notify the team of relevant fund activity.
• Financial Close Processes: Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, contributing to timely completion of tasks.
• Reporting & Audit Assistance: Assist with financial reporting deliverables, interface with the family office team, and support the independent financial audit.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a closely related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of accounting principles suitable for an entry-level role.
• Experience: Up to 1 year of post-graduation experience is required, though candidates with less experience are strongly encouraged to apply, emphasizing a willingness to learn.
• Skills: Highly detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy, coachable and eager to learn, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through.
• Bonus: Exposure to QuickBooks and Excel, comfort working with documents and PDFs, and a genuine interest in developing a career in fund accounting.
