The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Airgas, located in Radnor, PA, requiring 3 days a week in the office. Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, hardgoods, safety products, ammonia, and process chemicals, with approximately 18,000 associates. This Staff Accountant position is an integral part of the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting team, crucial for managing critical monthly and quarterly accounting processes and supporting the company’s global financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and analyze journal entries related to general month-end accruals, Hedge Accounting, IFRS 16, Deferred Compensation, Hardgoods Rebates, and key accounting provisions and reserves.
• Coordinate the timely submission of monthly and quarterly Financial Reporting Packages to the global corporate headquarters in Paris, France.
• Support the Business Service Center (BSC) in Argentina and act as a primary liaison to all Airgas Business Unit (BU) subsidiaries for accounting matters.
• Generate reports and respond to various financial information requests from management, key stakeholders, and other Airgas teams.
• Participate in ongoing projects aimed at enhancing accounting and reporting processes, including leveraging systems and reporting tools, while ensuring compliance with company financial policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of at least 1-2 years of financial accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Bonus: CPA and/or MBA in Finance/Accounting, public accounting experience, exposure to medium-to-large multi-national companies, SAP & BPC experience, Google Suite platform experience, and detailed knowledge of IFRS.
