Inside Sales Representative I | Arrow Electronics

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Arrow Electronics, located in Bloomington, Minnesota, with a hybrid work arrangement. Arrow is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join its Sales Team. This position is crucial for supporting the growth of core accounts in the West and ensuring no disruptions to customer service. The role is designed for an entry-level professional who can work independently and contribute significantly to sales excellence and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Relationship Management: Manage overall account relationships by providing strategic service and support to assigned customers, working with internal and external resources to maximize margins, gain market share, and drive value-added solution selling. This includes facilitating quoting, fulfilling demand, ensuring on-time delivery, providing engineering support, and troubleshooting customer problems, acting as a key liaison between suppliers and customers.
• Sales Strategy and Excellence: Develop and manage customer sales strategies for assigned accounts, ensuring sales excellence. This involves a thorough understanding of supply chain engagements like e-Compass, Consignments, and CARES, and identifying opportunities through synergistic products (e.g., White Space Report, PEMCO Mix), Reverse Logistics, Global Business Conversion (GBC), and Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD), while making informed sales decisions based on the market competitive landscape.
• Order-to-Invoice and Quality Management: Oversee ongoing sales support activities for the entire order-to-invoice process. This includes managing the customer interface for backend quality processes like corrective actions and Field Quality Reports, maintaining the Perfect Order Index (POI) and inventory integrity to minimize financial write-offs, and coordinating important credit and financial information with all available resources.
• Quote-to-Order Strategy: Own the overall customer Quote to Order sales objectives by setting strategy for the quote process. This involves coordinating resources and processing customer quotations through various systems and documents (e.g., Quote Center, Quote Cover Sheet, PM Views, Management, FSR, Suppliers, Value Add, SSG), validating end-of-life (EOL) and item class changes (NCNR), negotiating pricing and quote markup, and promptly notifying customers of any price increases.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level position. Candidates should typically hold a 4-year degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience, or a two-year degree combined with equivalent related professional experience.
• Experience: Requires intermediate Excel proficiency, including practical experience with functions such as VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.
• Skills:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for building relationships, collaborating with diverse teams, and conveying complex information effectively to customers and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
* Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities, enabling efficient management of multiple priorities, customer requests, and deadlines while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, acting as an informal resource for colleagues, and possessing the capacity to identify and resolve key issues and patterns from incomplete or conflicting data by taking a broad perspective to find novel solutions.
