What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Assist in executing comprehensive audit engagements for clients spanning various industries, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Data Management: Gather, meticulously analyze, and thoroughly document diverse financial data to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Fieldwork: Participate actively in fieldwork activities, which includes rigorously testing internal controls and conducting substantive testing to validate financial information.
• Reporting: Contribute significantly to the preparation of detailed working papers and comprehensive audit reports, essential for client deliverables.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with experienced team members to identify potential issues within client financial processes and recommend actionable improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in accounting, finance, or a related field, maintaining a strong academic record with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Candidates must possess a foundational understanding of accounting principles, demonstrated by completed coursework in Financial and Managerial Accounting.
• Experience: This role requires the ability to work full-time, typically 40-55 hours per week, with a clear understanding that potential overtime may be necessary during peak tax season.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, essential for dissecting complex financial data and identifying discrepancies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical for effective collaboration and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required for various tasks.
