The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Data Analysis: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help draft management letter comments and sections of the audit report.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student actively working toward CPA Exam eligibility, demonstrating satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
• Experience: Pursuit of an accounting-related degree with an understanding of core accounting principles.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, and a close attention to detail.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite; willingness to take initiative; ability to work under pressure and against deadlines; maintenance of a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0; and reliable transportation to and from the assigned office for off-site meetings and events.
