This Early Careers Business Development Specialist role is designed for growth, providing hands-on exposure to customer engagement and sales processes. It is crucial for strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities within the legal industry, contributing directly to the company’s expansion and client success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Coordination: Support Business Development Directors by coordinating day-to-day account activities and ensuring excellent customer care for legal and financial services clients, contributing to overall customer satisfaction metrics.
• Market Research: Research potential clients and market trends, gathering critical insights to inform and strengthen account strategies for new opportunities within the legal industry.
• Presentation and Proposal Development: Assist in preparing compelling presentations and materials for senior stakeholders and decision-makers, and draft proposals in collaboration with the Customer Success team.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate client data within Salesforce, meticulously tracking forecasts, opportunities, and activity to ensure reliable reporting and insights.
• Prospecting and Sales Cycle: Participate actively in prospecting activities to build early-stage client relationships and help move opportunities through the initial phases of the sales cycle with increasing independence.
• Project Ownership: Take ownership of assigned tasks, projects, and specific client segments as experience and capabilities develop, working closely with internal teams to align expectations and deliverables.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent practical experience, demonstrating a foundational understanding applicable to business development. This role is suited for individuals early in their career, ideally with up to three years of experience in business development, sales, customer success, operations, or related client-facing functions.
• Experience: Experience or coursework in research, data analysis, presentations, or customer-related work is highly beneficial. The role requires an interest in developing core skills in B2B client engagement and consultative sales, supported by training and mentorship.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, with the confidence to present ideas clearly to various stakeholders. The ability to work with data to support decision-making, including proficiency in Excel/Sheets, reporting, and basic analysis. Candidates must be organized, reliable, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively, and possess a proactive approach to solving problems and driving work forward.
