What You’ll Actually Do
• Closing: Perform monthly closing responsibilities related to sales and materials, then meticulously present these financial results and analyses to accounting management.
• Analysis: Execute comprehensive sales and materials analysis for six distinct budget events annually, preparing and presenting the detailed outcomes to relevant management teams.
• Creation: Apply professional accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills to accurately create sales breakdowns and detailed profit analyses, working under appropriate supervision to ensure precision.
• Quoting: Prepare precise parts and unit pricing quotes, involving careful calculation and review, with guidance from experienced team members.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of material usage and sales price variances, identifying discrepancies and trends, and presenting findings with supervision to support cost control and strategic pricing decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification includes a Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance. Alternatively, candidates with an Associate’s degree are required to have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an accounting-related job. This role is considered entry-level, requiring foundational understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and a solid background in cost accounting.
• Experience: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree should possess 0-2 years of experience. Those with an Associate’s degree are expected to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role. Demonstrated practical experience applying accounting concepts and performing analytical tasks is essential for success in this position.
• Skills: Key skills include a solid grasp of basic accounting principles, encompassing GAAP, IFRS, and cost accounting methodologies. A general understanding of core accounting functions and terminology is required, along with the ability to effectively apply these accounting concepts in practice. Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills are crucial for data interpretation and communication. Proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary for analysis and reporting. Additionally, foundational knowledge and skills in SAP are important for interacting with the company’s enterprise systems.
