Internship – Financial Reporting STAT Winter/Spring Season | Security Benefit

This is a seasonal internship at Security Benefit, with locations available in Topeka or Overland Park, Kansas. What You’ll Actually Do
• Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and reports.
• Data Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of accounts and ensure accurate financial data.
• Regulatory Filings: Participate in the preparation of regulatory filings.
• Audit Support: Analyze and compile financial data for audits.
• Process Assistance: Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Full-time student pursuing a degree in accounting and/or finance.
• Experience: Current junior or senior preferred, with availability to work at least 19 hours per week from December/January through May, and a minimum 3.0 GPA in majors.
• Skills: Proficient with MS Excel and Word; strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills; ability to think objectively and analytically; ability to work with various levels of management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
