Internal Business Associate | Manulife

The Tone:
This is a hybrid full-time role located in Tempe, Arizona, for John Hancock Investments, a division of Manulife Financial Corporation. Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their financial decisions easier and lives better. In this role, you will partner with Internal Business Consultants and the Sales Management Team to support programs designed to help financial advisors grow their businesses and increase John Hancock Investments’ assets under management. • Mission: Support the creation, development, and implementation of programs that help advisors grow their business and increase John Hancock Investments AUM.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Build relationships: Establish and nurture connections with Internal Sales Management and Internal Business Consultants.
• Analyze products: Conduct research and thoroughly analyze competitor products to understand their interaction within client portfolios.
• Deliver insights: Partner with Internal Business Consultants to provide reporting, analysis, and insights to registered representatives for improved portfolio construction.
• Optimize operations: Work alongside Internal Business Consultants to identify opportunities for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Sales Desk.
• Support events: Help drive attendance to local events hosted by external partners and assist in the Continuing Education (CE) reporting process for large events.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Commerce, Economics, Analytics/Mathematics/Statistics, or a similar program; proven curiosity about Capital Markets.
• Experience: Desire to acquire sales experience within the financial services industry; proven relationship management skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.
• Skills: Ability to acquire Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses within 120 days of hire; strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to learn and adapt quickly while applying creativity.
• Bonus: Completion of Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam preferred.
