Accounting Operations Intern 2027 | CNO Financial Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time, paid internship at CNO Financial Group, offered remotely across the United States with a preference for candidates in Central or Eastern time zones, or on-site at its corporate offices in Carmel, Indiana or Chicago, Illinois. What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Documentation: Develop and facilitate documentation of key processes supporting quarterly reporting and analysis.
• Daily Operations Support: Assist with daily accounting operation tasks within the department.
• Project Contribution: Complete special projects as assigned by the Accounting Operations team.
• Close Assistance: Assist with month-end and quarterly close procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, with status as a rising junior or rising senior. Candidates must have approximate graduation dates between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Experience: Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer internship program, running from May 17 through August 06, 2027. Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, as the Company does not intend to sponsor work visas for this position or future full-time employment opportunities. Preference for candidates located in Central or Eastern US time zones, or a willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
• Skills: Proficiency or experience with one or more of the following technologies: Co-Pilot, Co-Pilot Studio, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, Denodo, and Microsoft 365 Ecosystem.
• Bonus: Prior internship experience; experience balancing education with a part-time job during the school year; active participation in university clubs.
