Area Manager – Floor (Grocery) | Walmart

• Team: Leads a team of associates and other leaders, reporting to higher management.
• Mission: This role is responsible for implementing business plans, managing productivity, and developing talent to achieve facility goals in the grocery floor area.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Plan Implementation: Implement the business plan by managing staffing, scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety.
• Productivity Management: Monitor and manage the productivity of the assigned area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Quality & Safety Standards: Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on company policies and procedures, and by monitoring their compliance.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve concerns from associates, customers, and suppliers by listening and consulting with others to determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and participating in hiring, coaching, and evaluation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics.
• Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience, or 1 year of Walmart Logistics Management experience, or 2 years of general Walmart Logistics experience.
• Skills: Verbal and written communication, business report analysis, associate supervision, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics, and experience with Walmart Logistics Systems.
