Junior Accounting Associate (12 Month Internship) | L’Oréal

This is a 12-month paid internship at L’Oréal, located in Tampa, Florida. • Team: Reporting to the Head of Accounting within the accounting team.
• Mission: To prepare, summarize, and analyze accounting information, support monthly reporting, and contribute to strategic projects for the accounting team and worldwide headquarters.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI (a plus), SAP (helpful but not required)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare, summarize, and analyze accounting information for various subjects and provide support with reporting on a monthly basis.
• Validation: Analyze and validate accounting information for monthly consolidated reporting to worldwide headquarters via a proprietary group reporting system.
• Analysis & Projects: Perform ad-hoc analysis or various special projects as assigned, including account analysis, process improvement, or systems enhancement.
• Implementation: Assist with the implementation of various accounting projects.
• Communication: Attend project management meetings and summarize discussions to share with the Head of Accounting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a recent graduate within the past 12 months from an Undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong academic background evidenced by a GPA of 3.0 or higher; must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship.
• Skills: Superior problem solving, decision making, and project management skills; excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to handle multiple tasks; strong verbal communication, writing, and interpersonal skills along with the ability to form strong cross-functional relationships; demonstrated analytical skills, both using tools (e.g., Excel) and critical thinking; computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Bonus: Experience with PowerBI and SAP is a plus.
