• Mission: This role ensures accurate and timely financial processing and reporting support for operational and basic accounting needs within project teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Accounting: Provide clerical and data entry support to fulfill contractual operational and basic accounting requirements.
• Accounts Management: Process all accounts payable and accounts received promptly and accurately.
• Analytical Reporting: Deliver ad hoc reports and analysis to project teams as needed.
• Client Billing: Prepare client billing packages according to contract terms and ensure timely payment.
• Cash Management: Prepare bank deposits and record cash receipt entries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A high school diploma is required. Candidates should possess a basic understanding of accounting principles, including the maintenance of ledgers and cash flows.
• Experience: Preferred experience includes some student work or 6 months to 1 year in an accounting or administrative role. Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting, as well as project costing principles like recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements related to accounting, is considered valuable.
• Skills: Essential skills include the ability to act with required discretion when handling confidential information, a basic understanding of lien rights, and exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered a significant asset. Additionally, a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and prior experience with accounting software are advantageous for this role.
