As an Accounting Intern, you will directly contribute to projects that assist government clients with complex healthcare reimbursement and provider compliance issues, making a meaningful impact on services for those in need. • Project Execution: Execute all aspects of assigned projects or work in progress, carefully applying knowledge gained from previous experiences to future projects.

• Goal Attainment: Actively strive to attain specific goals and objectives meticulously established by direct supervisors, demonstrating a commitment to performance.
• Skill Development: Proactively gain and apply computer proficiency across various administrative programs, develop advanced spreadsheet skills, master word processing functions, and conduct effective internet research.
• Service Understanding: Develop a solid general understanding of the diverse range of audit, accounting, data management, and consulting services offered by Myers & Stauffer.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level internship position designed for individuals currently working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a closely related academic field.
• Experience: While no specific prior experience is strictly required, candidates are encouraged to highlight active participation in student organizations and any previous work experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential, alongside robust verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must also demonstrate strong organizational abilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, efficiently multi-task with effective planning, manage multiple deadlines, prioritize assignments, and exhibit the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient use of applicable software programs, including the Microsoft Office suite, is also required.
• Bonus: A preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, a positive attitude toward colleagues and clients, and a professional appearance and manner are beneficial. Punctuality is also expected.
