• Mission: This person supports the Private Client Services Tax team by ensuring accurate financial data, timely tax document processing, and administrative support for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, bill.com, other accounting software programs
What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Support: Support the Private Client Services Tax team in preparing and organizing individual, trust, and estate tax engagements.
• Compliance Filings: Prepare Forms 1099 and manage the associated electronic filings for individual and family office clients.
• Document Management: Triage, organize, and track client-provided tax documents, maintaining checklists of outstanding items for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities.
• Bookkeeping & Admin: Assist with bookkeeping and administrative support for private client engagements, including reconciliation of financial data used for tax compliance and planning.
• Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with tax professionals to support the timely delivery of tax returns and client deliverables during peak filing seasons.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and a general understanding of payroll, sales, and income taxes, with the ability to prepare financial statements from bookkeeping/accounting programs.
• Experience: Day-to-day client exposure; 10+ years of bookkeeping experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, ability to self-review work, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines while being responsive.
