Client Finance Analyst | Praytell

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Management: Prepare, review, and process client invoices accurately and on time, ensuring alignment with scopes of work and billing schedules.
• Budget Oversight: Manage client budgets by tracking fees, expenses, and actuals against planned spend, identifying discrepancies and potential overages.
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Generate and maintain financial reports from systems like Harvest, Cognos, and JDE, and reconcile client budgets with internal financial data for accurate reporting.
• Financial Data Integrity: Review financial data across various systems for accuracy and completeness, actively resolving discrepancies when they arise.
• Client & Internal Partnership: Partner with account teams and senior finance members to support client account financial management and assist with client finance inquiries and billing follow-up.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience; entry-level career stage.
• Experience: 6-12 months of client finance experience gained through an internship, co-op program, or an entry-level role.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities; comfort with numbers and large datasets with an eye for discrepancies; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis; strong communication skills for partnering with internal teams and clients.
• Bonus: Experience with financial, accounting, or reporting systems (JDE, Cognos, Harvest, or Tungsten is a plus); exposure to client finance, an agency, or professional services environment; curious, proactive, and eager to learn about the business behind the numbers; an interest in building a career in finance.
