What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Transactions: Complete all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, following PCL policies and legislative requirements.
• Report Analysis: Review and analyze project adjustments, submissions, and reports, ensuring timely completion for accurate financial reporting.
• Cost Reconciliation: Perform monthly job cost report analysis and reconciliation in coordination with project managers.
• Forecast Support: Participate in monthly forecast review meetings for assigned projects to provide input on financial trends and profitability.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all required documentation, such as insurance, bonding, and lien waivers, is in place and renewed as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Experience: Possesses a novice understanding of full-cycle accounting, project forecasting, budgeting, and project costing principles, including recoveries, insurance, and contract requirements.
• Skills: Novice knowledge of government legislation and generally accepted accounting principles; ability to interpret trade contractor documentation for accounting-related items; understanding of PCL policies and procedures.
