• Mission: To support the accounting department’s daily operations, ensure adherence to financial policies, and contribute to key financial reporting and special projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliation: Assist in preparing journal entries and performing complex account reconciliations, including bank, general ledger, and commission reconciliations.
• Financial Close: Support the team with month-end close procedures and the accounts payable process, including managing payments, accruals, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Compliance & Review: Review daily activity to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and understanding of business changes and trends.
• Reporting & Projects: Help compile and organize data for financial reporting and forecasting needs, and contribute to special accounting projects assigned by the Controller and CFO.
• Process Improvement: Work on identifying best practices for accounting tasks and assist with supporting audits and process audits within the company.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College student pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field, specifically in sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
• Experience: Prior internship or office experience is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel; Excellent analytical ability and perseverance to solve problems with high attention to detail; Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively within established timelines; Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
