Associate, Finance Leadership Development Rotation | Dover Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Dover Corporation, located in Downers Grove, IL. Dover is an $8 billion diversified global manufacturer with approximately 24,000 employees across five operating segments, delivering innovative equipment, components, specialty systems, and solutions. This role is crucial for building well-rounded finance professionals through multi-year, hands-on experience across core finance functions, preparing individuals for future leadership roles within the company’s entrepreneurial environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Onsite, Downers Grove, IL
• Pay: $70000–$110000 yearly
• Team: Part of the Finance organization, rotating through Internal Audit and FP&A teams under the guidance of the Finance executive team.
• Mission: Develop well-rounded finance professionals through multi-year, hands-on experience across core finance functions, preparing them for future leadership roles within the company.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, Excel, Oracle

What You’ll Actually Do
• Internal Audit: Execute identified audit projects to address significant business risks and foster a control-oriented environment, clearly identifying and escalating high-risk observations.
• Financial Planning: Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles for corporate departments, working with cross-functional leaders and international partners.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare Board of Directors financial materials, executive group meeting presentations, and provide analytical support for quarterly earnings releases.
• Business Partnership: Develop strong partnerships with business leadership across all segments and serve as a key resource for segment and operating company finance teams.
• Data Analysis: Assess processes, interpret financial data, build financial models, and make recommendations for improvement to internal stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Approximately 2-5 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical ability with attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bonus: Relevant certifications (CIA, CPA, CISSP, CISA) or a goal to obtain them, exposure to financial planning and budgeting activities, Big 4 / Professional Services experience, familiarity with data analysis/analytics and basic knowledge of internal controls, understanding of ERP systems (preferably Oracle), and willingness to travel ~25% (domestic and international) and to relocate to advance their career.
