Accounting Specialist | Payentry
The Tone:
This is a hybrid position at Payentry, working from one of its company offices located in Rockville, MD; Upland, CA; Trevose, PA; Charlotte, NC; or Norcross, GA. Remote work is considered on an exception basis. Payentry is looking for a motivated individual to join its growing finance team. This position is crucial for combining payroll administration with general accounting support, ensuring accuracy and efficient financial operations for the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End/Year-End: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Transaction Processing: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely posting.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial reports and audit documentation.
• Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and compliance requirements.
• Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; experience with payroll software and accounting systems (QuickBooks and NetSuite); foundational knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
