The Tone:
This is a Financial Analyst role at Evlo AI. This position is pivotal to the organization, driving critical financial planning, analysis, and comprehensive reporting functions. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing the essential insights and sophisticated financial models that are indispensable for guiding strategic decision-making across all departments of the company. You will work in close partnership with both the accounting team and senior leadership to meticulously manage financial forecasting, ensure rigorous compliance with US GAAP standards, and conduct in-depth analysis of key financial drivers that impact the business.
The TL;DR

• Mission: To proactively drive the organization’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting, thereby providing the essential insights and robust models necessary to guide strategic decision-making effectively.
• Tech Stack: Excel, ERP systems (including NetSuite and Workday), BI tools.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Build and meticulously maintain complex financial models in Excel to comprehensively support budgeting cycles, accurate forecasting, and the organization’s long-term strategic planning initiatives.
• Analyze: Analyze monthly and quarterly financial variances against actual results, diligently surfacing actionable insights and clear explanations to present directly to leadership.
• Report: Partner closely with the accounting team throughout the month-end close process to ensure consistently accurate financial reporting that adheres strictly to US GAAP compliance standards.
• Present: Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial packages, polished board decks, and various ad-hoc analytical reports tailored for executive stakeholders and key decision-makers.
• Evaluate: Systematically evaluate capital allocation decisions, calculate the Return on Investment (ROI) for key strategic initiatives, and analyze critical operational metrics using specialized ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: Possess 3-6 years of corporate finance, investment banking, or accounting experience, specifically within a high-growth environment, coupled with practical experience using modern ERP systems (such as NetSuite or Workday) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Skills: Demonstrate deep expertise in US GAAP principles, advanced financial modeling techniques, comprehensive budgeting processes, thorough variance analysis, and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Bonus: CPA certification, proficiency in SQL, or prior professional experience within the technology sector.
