Tax Co-Op/Intern – Summer 2027 | The Mosaic Company

This is a full-time internship at The Mosaic Company, located in Plymouth, MN (hybrid). The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time (36-40 hours a week)

• Team: Partnered with team members in varying roles in the tax department.
• Mission: To support the tax department with compliance, financial reporting, and transformation initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, reporting tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and international income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Financial Reporting: Support quarterly tax provision calculations (ASC 740), including book-to-tax differences.
• Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze tax data to support compliance and financial reporting.
• Process Improvement: Utilize digital tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency.
• Communication: Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, and engineers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or IT with a 2.75 GPA or higher. Foundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principles is required. Must be able to work full-time while maintaining student standing and possess reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience: Experience working in a team environment is essential.
• Skills: Basic computer proficiency.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and reporting tools is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus. 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or general work is also preferred. Effective verbal communication skills are beneficial.
