This Staff Accountant position is critical for providing reliable and accurate financial transaction processing, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, and supporting effective cost accounting oversight by senior staff. The role is designed to deliver consistent transaction processing, reconciliations, and analysis, enabling Senior Accountants to focus on higher-level financial reviews.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Processing: Execute recurring general ledger processing tasks, including meticulous journal entry preparation, comprehensive account analysis, and the creation of essential month-end close schedules with all supporting documentation.
• Account Reconciliation: Systematically complete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, meticulously comparing them to subledgers and diligently following up on all identified reconciling items to ensure accuracy and resolution.
• Cost Accounting Support: Prepare detailed cost accounting processing workpapers, conduct thorough transaction reviews, develop inventory support schedules, and create standard cost update documentation for review by the Senior Accountant.
• Fixed Asset Management: Efficiently process routine fixed asset purchase and retirement activities, maintain accurate supporting documentation, and assist with depreciation import and reconciliation processes to ensure proper asset tracking.
• Reporting and Analysis Support: Contribute to monthly variance analysis, perform financial statement integrity reviews, provide gross profit support, and prepare account fluctuation explanations, as well as support various compliance, budget, and audit reporting requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related financial domain. This is an early career role requiring foundational accounting knowledge.
• Experience: Experience performing general ledger processing, account reconciliations, fixed asset management, and supporting cost accounting functions. Familiarity with ERP systems and spreadsheet software is essential.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial work; a high degree of dependability and commitment to confidentiality; proficient use of ERP systems, spreadsheets, and electronic files for data management and analysis; strong organizational skills for maintaining audit-ready records and documentation.
