The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at HSBC, located in India. HSBC’s International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) serves over 41 million customers globally, providing borderless banking and world-class wealth management solutions, from daily finances to wealth protection and growth. This Universal Banker role is pivotal in executing a multiyear growth strategy focused on India, leveraging HSBC’s global capabilities, and is central to delivering effective branch customer interface functions by transitioning from transaction processing to need-based sales.

• Mission: This role is responsible for executing HSBC’s growth strategy by providing exceptional service to walk-in customers and driving sales through a need-based approach at branch locations.
• Tech Stack: AI-enabled tools (advantage)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Interface: Deliver effective branch customer interface functions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Sales Transition: Implement TCF principles in daily customer interactions, transitioning from basic transaction processing to need-based sales.
• Customer Experience: Manage customer complaints and escalations to ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
• Performance Metrics: Attain key performance indicators by acquiring new customers and promoting credit card and general insurance products.
• Operational Compliance: Adhere to operational standards set by the bank, maintaining control over customer deliverables and implementing audit recommendations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate degree with a holistic understanding of branch operations, processes, banking products, systems, and customer service requirements.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience with demonstrated business focus and customer orientation, including awareness of AML risk and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Skills: Exceptional Communication Skills, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Highly Organized, Collaborative Team Player, Proactive and Efficient.
• Bonus: Preferred regulatory certifications include FEDAI, NISM (Demat), and IRDA, or a commitment to obtain/transfer them within 3-6 months of onboarding; familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
