What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit and Review: Compile, review, and audit financial statements and supplemental information, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
• Client Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of client businesses and their internal control systems.
• Documentation: Prepare and meticulously organize workpapers to reconcile account balances and provide robust support for financial statements.
• Reporting: Prepare complete financial statements, including all necessary disclosures, in accordance with GAAP, OCBOA, and IFRS.
• Collaboration: Actively collaborate with the engagement team and clients to manage information requests and ensure smooth deliverables.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This is an early-career position focused on audit and accounting practices.
• Experience: Candidates must hold a CPA license or be actively on track to obtain a CPA certificate and license.
• Skills: Possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Demonstrate self-starter capabilities with robust analytical and organizational skills, alongside proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Knowledge of professional software such as ProSystem fx Engagement and QuickBooks is beneficial, and familiarity with ChatGPT is a plus.
