Accounting Associate | LinkSquares
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at LinkSquares, located in Boston, MA. LinkSquares is a Boston-based, AI-powered CLM SaaS leader, trusted by organizations like DraftKings, Manscaped, and Vivid Seats, that automates the contracting process for legal, finance, and HR teams. The Accounting Associate role is essential to the company’s financial integrity, as you will own the full invoice-to-cash cycle and support critical generalist accounting operations. This position offers broad exposure to GAAP principles and operational accounting, helping to build a scalable foundation for a rapidly growing AI-powered company through continuous improvement and optimized systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Management: Lead the end-to-end invoice-to-cash workflow by generating and reviewing customer invoices, accurately applying payments received via ACH, Wire, Credit Card, and Checks, and maintaining precise data within NetSuite.
• Collections & Dispute Resolution: Monitor outstanding customer balances, actively drive the dunning process, and partner effectively with Sales, Legal, and Finance leadership to professionally resolve complex invoice disputes.
• Customer Billing Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries, resolving payment portal issues, and providing detailed balance summaries to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Month-End Accounting: Own Accounts Receivable-related journal entries, prepare comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with general P&L accounting tasks to support a timely and accurate month-end close.
• Audit Preparation: Assist with annual financial audits by preparing necessary schedules, maintaining documentation consistent with US GAAP, and working directly with external auditors.
• Operational Finance Support: Assist in broader operational finance functions, including providing Accounts Payable support, documenting processes, and conducting systems integration checks for platforms like NetSuite and Bill.com.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with a solid understanding of US GAAP principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Experience: Possess 1+ years of proven accounting experience, with direct background in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general comfort with financial software, alongside exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a natural eye for detail, accuracy, and strong organizing abilities.
• Bonus: B2B SaaS experience is a plus, and experience with specific financial software such as NetSuite, Carta, or Bill.com is highly preferred, as is an interest in leveraging automation, AI, and modern software tools to optimize manual processes and scale workflow.
