The Tone:
This is a full-time, remote role at Headlands Research, located in the United States. Headlands Research is a rapidly expanding network of advanced clinical trial sites, dedicated to enhancing clinical trial delivery within communities by leveraging cutting-edge technology and exceptional support services. Founded in 2018, the company currently operates over 20 sites across the US and Canada, with further expansion planned. This Accounts Receivable and Revenue Specialist position is crucial for the financial health and contractual performance of these studies, working closely with site operations to approve billable expenses, manage accounts receivable, and follow up on final study budget balances.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Oversight: Oversee the comprehensive financial and contractual performance across all studies, ensuring adherence to agreements.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships and serve as a vital liaison between the internal clinical team and external Sponsor/Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
• Budget and Payment Processing: Verify and update study budgets accurately, then manage the invoicing process and apply incoming payments from Sponsors and CROs.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile studies throughout their lifecycle and conduct critical month-end processes, including precise revenue recognition and detailed Accounts Receivable reporting.
• Performance Analysis: Prepare and meticulously follow up on Accounts Receivable Statements, while also performing essential financial analysis and reporting to track DSO and invoicing metrics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Experience: Clinical research experience, including basic medical terminology and working knowledge of drug development services, is preferred.
• Skills:
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret contract payment terms
• Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Bonus: Understanding of the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) CRIO.
