• Team: Reports to the Finance Director.
• Mission: Manages core transactional accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and support day-to-day operations.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, Ramp, Google Sheets, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Oversee accounts receivable functions including invoicing, payment posting, monitoring, and collection efforts.
• Manage: Handle accounts payable tasks such as vendor onboarding, invoice approval, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.
• Reconcile: Assist in month-end close activities by performing bank and credit card reconciliations and creating journal entries.
• Maintain: Post payroll reports and accurately allocate payroll expenses by class, alongside maintaining general ledger records for revenue, expenditures, and paid media spend.
• Support: Prepare financial information necessary for reporting and tax filings, and collaborate on annual budget creation and tracking.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field. An associate’s degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience: Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel is required for this position.
• Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information professionally, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to work independently while managing multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, and Ramp is preferred, as is prior experience in startup or growth environments.
