This is a short-term Associate role (typically 6-18 months) at Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy, located in a remote-first environment with regional travel. GKG offers a hands-on, rotational talent development program focused on insurance and risk management. This role provides real experience across multiple departments, allowing individuals to explore different areas before specializing. It serves as a launchpad for a long-term career within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate through multiple departments to build a broad, real-world foundation in insurance and risk management.
• Support day-to-day client service and internal workflows across various agency functions.
• Work on projects aimed at improving processes, systems, or the overall client experience.
• Earn insurance licenses and actively participate in paid training and certifications.
• Gradually narrow your professional focus as you identify your long-term career path at GKG.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) for an entry-level career path.
• Experience: Demonstrated comfort working in a remote and electronic environment, with strong computer skills. Willingness to travel throughout the region and occasionally overnight when required.
• Skills: Curious mindset, adaptable nature, strong motivation to learn, and effective organizational skills with follow-through.
• Bonus: Interest in building a long-term career, embodying GKG’s core values, and willingness to attain and maintain applicable New York State insurance license(s) and agreed-upon certifications/designations.
